Engineered Oak Installation

Installation of new flooring in Living room, Corridor & two bedrooms. Preparation work to include removing and disposing of the existing engineered flooring, underlay, skirting, as well as floor boards underneath, completely exposing the joists. To level and reinforce the joists, by adding new 4×2″ treated joists, in order to create flat base for the new flooring. Supply and fit of rockwool insulation between the joists. To supply and fit sound insulation panels on top of the joists, as a base for the new flooring, noise reduction, up to 57dB. Supply of engineered oak flooring, “Grey Lacquer”, 14mm total thickness, 189mm wide. To supply standard underlay. Installation of the engineered flooring as a floated floor onto the underlay. After the installation is complete, to supply and fit Pencil round profile MDF skirting around the edges to cover the expansion gap. The skirting will require filling and painting by decorator, not included in this quote. To undercut 6 doors, doorframes and architraves, in order to accommodate the new flooring. Supply and fit of similar colour, solid oak door thresholds and trims where required.
