Project Description
Installation of new parquet flooring in residential property. Preparation work to include removing and disposing of the existing carpet, carpet grippers and underlay from living room. To supply and install plywood onto the passage way only, matching thickness to the existing one To supply and install solid oak parquet flooring 22mm total thickness, 70x280mm Prime Grade. The wood blocks to be laid in herringbone pattern from wall to wall, fully bonded onto the plywood base, using flexible parquet adhesive. After the installation is complete, to cut off and install double block border around the perimeter of the area. After the floor fitting work is complete, the entire flooring area to be lightly sanded and polished. To apply one coat of Primer, followed by 3 coats of Bona Traffic HD, two component, commercial grade lacquer for protection. Undercutting of the existing skirting in order to accommodate the new flooring. To undercut 5 doors doorframes and architraves, in order to accommodate the new flooring. To supply and fit matching finish solid oak reducer to the junction with the tiled section in the kitchen. To supply and fit one door threshold reducer where required. Supply and installation of matching finish riser and stair nosings for two steps.
